Ilford DD-X to develop paper

Has anybody used Ilford DD-X to develop paper negatives or black and white prints? If so, what was your experience in terms of development time and/or contrast produced? Inquiring minds want to know. I have a liter bottle of DD-X that is getting pretty old and I’m looking for interesting ways to use it.

I haven't, but if you add some sodium carbonate to the working solution, then it might be an effective print developer. I'd start with 15g/l.

I know this is post is a few days shy of 5 years old however, I had a batch of DD-X and I realized I was out of Multigrade, and I just finished building my darkroom at my new home so I was wanting to give it a trail run. So I grabbed some sodium carbonate, mixed it into the 1 liter of pre-mixed DD-X and it actually seemed to work pretty well. I test with very old paper I had, but I gave it 1 min then went to 1 min 30 seconds. I was about to dump out the DD-X anyways, but other than for fun i dont know why anyone would do this haha but it did work fairly well.
