Everyone who buys ilford gets a customer loyalty discount by getting an amazing product at a lesser price than they yellow guy... Respect the ilford

heck yeah, I second that! Just look what I was able to obtain during my first ever film photograph and shh!, caffenol developer! I would vouch that Ilford Delta-400 Professional 120 Black & White Negative (Print) Film (ISO-400) is above and beyond standards! "PENTACON SIX TL"CARL ZEISS JENA DDR BIOMETER 80mm 2.8 old tech meets new tech with extremely satisfying results, at least for this happy novice photographer!

You can't just base everything off of sheet film prices Stone.

For example 120 Delta 100 compared to Tmax 100 is roughly the same, Tmax 400 is cheaper while 35mm in both 100 and 400 falls greatly in favor of the "yellow". I love Ilford as much as anyone but lets not blind ourselves silly with brand loyalty, it truly gets more than a bit nuaseating at times on this site...

Sorry, I don't really shoot much roll film these days and haven't looked at prices, I shoot hardly any 35mm at all and in 120 I'm still shooting Neopan400 for models and Acros100 as night scene work. I do shoot PanF+ as models also but I just expect it to be expansive  it's good stuff and doesn't sell as much as the others so costs more.

Well he can do if that is all he shoots. I shoot a lot of fomapan400 in 35mm and it is ok on the dull days I get, and Foma is cheaper across most all formats, yes its about 250 ISO. And I like grain.

But I do use HP5+, Kentmere400 and Kodak double x as well, mainly cause the shop runs out of Foma.

Exactly, if you don't shoot all the films or formats from either maker, then it is best not to make such a claim.

And just so Simon does not think I am anti-Ilford or something crazy, I *love* Pan-F like crazy, rate it at 25 to knock down the contrast and enjoy it's need for much longer exposure in low light for effect. Once I am out of APX25, I will use even more of it.

I still shoot a lot of 120 because the overall impact of the content in my Hasselblad images stomp the day lights out of most of my 4x5 stuff.

Well he can do if that is all he shoots.

Sure if he were to specify those films and formats in particular, but he made a blanket statement and that leads to a false claim.

Anyway, thanks to Simon for his consistent participation on APUG, his presence is far more the exception than the rule for most businesses.

Why are you looking at B&H? Don't you get an employee's discount?

I would guess that from reading these threads, Simon knows that a large number of his customers in Both Canada and the US actually get their ILFORD products through B&H, Probably to the disadvantage of the Canadian Distributor. In most companies, the Employees do have access to discounted products, but that is between Ilford and their staff.

Besides, while it is hard to check every price in North America from the UK, B&H is right there on the web, with aggressive prices..

I was making a joke, hence the smiley face.
