Ilford Chemistry made in the USA

I recently purchased some ID11 and Bromophen from Amplis here in Canada. Both are in new packaging and labeled made in the USA. Just wondering if anyone knows who is making it. For what it’s worth, Bromophen is mistakenly labeled as a film developer. Amplis advised me of the error prior to shipping and asked if I needed a label correcting the error which after 40 years of use I did not.

The US made ID11 is still two parts.
Part A and part B both inside one envelope not box.
Oddly there are no mixing instructions , on the package it says to go on line for such!

This is a shame. The old cartons had instructions printed on them.

The changes wrought by the bankruptcy of Tetenal and all the related industry disruptions are likely to be felt for a long time.
Replacing packaging and getting it to accompany product that is now manufactured on the other side of the globe isn't exactly a quick and easy thing. Just dealing with multiple languages is a challenge wrt space on the box.
The mixing instructions may end up being recreated and put back on or in the box eventually, but in the meantime having them posted in a single place on the internet is a good compromise.

I'm not sure which "then" you are referring to. But the world is really different now, after so many manufacturing resources have disappeared, distribution channels have been disrupted, and regulatory requirements revised - many in a very short period of time.

They probably could have, but I suspect that for reasons of logistics and finance (duties, taxes) chose a US-based partner for the US retail channel. Likewise AFAIK European-sold chemistry is made in Europe.

I wondered if that might be the case. They are the manufacturers of Kodak chemistry and sell those products directly from their Kodak website. It would be interesting to see if they do the same for Ilford if in fact they are the manufacturers.

For clarity, I'm merely pointing out that things are disrupted. That doesn't mean that issues like mixing instructions being missing from packaging or boxes of paper developer being labelled as film developer won't in due course be remedied.
Disruption, combined with very lean staffing, means there is a lot to do, and too few hands and hours to do it.

As I understand it, the US manufacture includes the powdered chemicals.
I still remain doubtful that there still exists a UK alternative that is suited to these products.
And of course, with the UK no longer being part of the EU, the manufacturers in the EU no longer enjoy as much of an advantage over US sources as they once did.

Harman do their own distribution and marketing of Ilford, Kentmere, Harman and Paterson products in the UK.
They leave it to their local distributors to do that marketing in other regions - Amplis in Canada, a division of Roberts Cameras in the USA.

FYI: They are reportedly the new manufacturer of Kodak branded color (colour) chemistry.

Ilford currently uses an EU-based manufacturer for liquid chemistry and as said a USA-based manufacturer for powder chemistry.
In Italy we have USA-made Id-11 as currently...
