Ok, so I purchased one Ikoflex, despite my 4 rolleiflexes. And I end up with 4 Ikoflexes within a very short time.

And yes. i used them all.

Yes, I am crazy like that.

And no. I’m not crazy.

Although I am a Zeiss nut, and getting an Ikoflex sometimes crosses my mind, I feel I possess TLR perfection with my Rolleiflex. So, like previous responders, what I would enjoy you comments, advantages and shortcomings of the two brands. Seems as if these cameras have found a good home.

This makes me the Ikoflice man, now?

About these cameras, my thinking was “how can I go wrong with a Zeiss camera?”, and then Inwas blown away by the image quality of my Ia.

It needed service for the slow speeds, so I purchased a second one. I opened them both and fixed the slow speeds and cleaned the lenses. I was amazed at the straightforwardness of these little gems. And I noticed that their were better built than the rolleicords.
I loved my negatives from my first ikoflex Novar lens. I was blown away actually. Sharp, atmospheric, fine contrast.

And when I put my hand on a Ic... wow, rolls royce.

I love my rolleiflexes but the Ikoflexes are absolutely on par. And much cheaper, thanks to the laws of the used market.

I have an Ikoflex, in addition to a Yashicmat with the Yashinon f3.5and an Autocord. Of the three my favorite is the Autocord. I find its handling superior, and it is certainly easier to load than the Ikoflex.
