Well that collection of cameras is not too far so shipping wouldn't be a problem...

A friend has a darkroom construction book that I flip through when I visit. There's a photo of a darkroom sink filled with ice and with Champagne bottles lined up in rows.

I'm a few prints short of deserving grand opening like that, but it sure sounds like a great way to break in a darkroom.

I'd buy a home with a studio/darkroom. (within walking distance from the redwoods and the beach would be nice, too.)

+1, except in my case it would be Douglas Firs.

Oh man this is a long list...

A house with a giant darkroom and studio and an attractive female assistant to be my muse/model and Shlep my stuff in the field. (not that they sell that on eBay).

But more importantly.

An RV with dual power supply (so my film freezer would never fail.
4x5, 5x7, 8x10, 20x24 FIELD CAMERAS custom made to my specs.
6x12 and 6x17 backs for the 4x5.
6x17 camera

Maybe a New Leica with New Lenses JUST to shoot with normal film just to prove they are no better than my AE-1 with kit 50mm 1.8 lens

FILM lots of it... All the 127 left in freestyle stock...and Tech pan

Oh oh AND I could buy the Kodachrome machine and pay Ron to run it... Hehe... Shhh...

And don't shoot me (no pun intended) but a Mamiya Leaf Credo 80mp Back and throw it on my RZ67 hehe

It is not really about the money. Even if I was rich I would still have to convince Bestbeloved that there could possibly be any point in another camera. If I managed that, it would be a 10x8 field camera and a nice person to teach me how to use it.

Three lenses. 13/5.6 Nikkor AIS, 20/3.5 Nikkor-UD, 400/3.5 IF-ED Nikkor (any version, maybe the pre-AI version, but with the aperture ring milled to AI spec - keep it looking somewhat original, but compatible with my FM2n. Otherwise, don't really want anything.

I back this idea hard!

I'd pay film manufactorers to start making a lot of dead film. EIR/Aerochrome, Kodachrome, Polaroid 55, you name it.
I'd also get myself a 6x17 and a 20x24 camera, possibly the polaroid one. Or maybe one thats suitable for film too. Imagine looking at 20x24 Aerochromes or Kodachromes. Darnit.
I would also get myself a huge uv exposure unit, so i could make enormous alt. prints.

Travel, collect and buy historic and famous original prints to display in my own museum, maybe setup a lobbying organization and fund to promote analog photography in more schools and to offer grants to new artists and photographers.

I'm happy with what I have, because I learned the hard way many years ago that photography Isn't a problem that can be solved by throwing money at it

If money was NO option, I'd re-invent pol 665!!!

For a little less I'd buy an OLD Rolls and make it into a moving darkroom... would go SO nicely with my Gandolfi's...

For even less I'd buy the huge Voigtländer Petzval lens for sale now on the bay ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/121063046400?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 ) - and some other great lenses I don't have....

Or just quit my job and make images (again)

Oh oh oh!!!! Polaroid type 55!! I forgot about that, I would fund that 55 project in Boston, MA, USA that's designing new type 55 peel apart, I'm excited about it,

Oh, I have the Mamiya 7 II so I would pay Mamiya to design a Mamiya 7 III that would have these features.

Non-electronic Mechanical shutter with Bulb and Time features for long exposures (since my battery keeps dying on night shoots in the cold when I'm doing 20+ minute exposures... So frustrating you have no idea!

And a variable frame size feature to also shoot 6x6 and 6x7 and switch between them mid roll.

AND/OR make it so the back is detachable like the RZ system so I can switch films mid roll but thin like the 23 and universal press systems. To keep the profile similar. And add frame lines for the additional zoom and wide lenses so no need for a viewfinder.

Man I'm demanding!

Lets throw TTL in there even though I use a handheld meter lol

Better camera lock position (so you don't go to lock the camera and accidentally shoot a frame instead...Doh!), lens cap on warning system...

That's it for now...

I still love the Mamiya 7 system best and use it most often, just that I'm a perfectionist

As mentioned, first thing I'd throw money at is TIME... More time for trying stuff, more time for learning stuff, more time for shooting, more time for EVERYTHING in order to get more and better photographs taken and produced!

I agree, money buys leisure and education, photographers money instead of owning dozens of cameras and more "stuff" would be better spent on having a few and buying books to study the subject, and pay to attend classes to learn how to use them to better effect.

Here's a Rolls you could possibly afford to convert -

http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/rolls_royce/phantom_iii/1454535.html

It needs work already, and it's not one of the rare high-value ones, so nobody will get their panties seriously bunched if you perform surgery on it.
