Where did you find out?The serial number identifies it as an Automat Model 1 (RF 111A) produced between 1937-39.
His book is good. Of course, Franke & Heidecke didn't call the cameras "type 1, type 2" and so on, especially not when only small changes were made, but it's interesting information for collectors and sometimes for users as all types sometimes can't use the same accessories, for example. For close-ups this camera needs the Proxar sets with one Proxar with bayonet and one push-on. It can also use the earlier sets with two 28,5 mm push-on Proxars.Some more from Arthur Evan's book:
