If you could fly with all expenses paid to any location on the globe for an indefinate period with a camera/s of your choice, what would be your dream project?
MODs please move if in wrong forum.

Will discuss; in principle this is OK but I'd like to see this in a place where more people will see it. I think it's a nice question you put up for discussion.

For me, it would probably be the southern half of Italy, including Sicily.

I regret not ever going to Vienna. I would have loved to have spent a couple of weeks walking around with my M2.

I'd stay home.
"If you cannot make great photo's in or around your house, you cannot make great photo's anywhere" (don't know who said this but it is oh so true)
I'm traveling Sri Lanka and India next month and I'm still in doubt whether or not to take a camera with me. If I decide to do, it will be a 6x6 folder from the '50s and one or two rolls of 120 film, mainly to make a shot of the Taj Mahal at sunrise to make a nice lith print

Your statement holds a lot of truth. A wonderful shot can be taken just round the corner. In the same way you don't have to photograph a famous person to make a good photograph. Pure photography capture can be found in the most mundane locations.

I believe it is only after you pass the first period of excitement when everything looks new and exotic that you can start making good photographs. That said, I wouldn't mind a ticket to NZ

I’d to shoot some 8x10 of rusted mills, abandoned silos, and weathered Model A’s half buried in growth the standard fare for people who like to peak under skirts and fiddle with knobs. I’d like to go somewhere other than Bodie because the dead there are sick of me by now.

I'd give van life a try and would go around making cyanotypes of the flora I encounter. No need for exotic locations or fancy equipment.
