My Lumix GX80 isn't perfect, but it ticks a sufficient number of boxes for me to carry it almost everywhere. Full functionality + 4k video in something that fits in a jacket pocket, means rather too much human interface for the space available. On full auto however, (Panasonic call it iA), the camera is a remarkably predictive device that's as close to instantaneous as any camera has a right to be.
For those who habitually switch between manual and various automated modes, and want good ergonomics to do so, there are much better choices. If you want to record something on the spur of the moment and have no more than a second or two to do so, the GX80 is a peach.
