I just won this 7x17.

A new format for me. Luckily I print with a 14x17 contact print frame and develop in 17 in. trays. Pt/Pd will be no problem as I tear the paper myself.
My question: What do you 7x17 guys do for gelatin-silver paper? Will I take the Rotatrim into the darkroom and make 2 sheets of 8x17 out of 16x20? Am I now to buy rolls of mount tissue instead of sheets? I would like to hear from the Panorama ULFs out there.
Thanks

PS: Yes, I am excited!!

J&C sells their J&C 200 and Efke PL100 in 7x17. Prices look good. I would vote for the PL100 for its long scale and versatility. Congratulations!

Nice purchase.

If you want to print on Azo, you'll have to cut down 20x24. For now I'm doing my 11x14" negs on other paper, but I think the Rotatrim is the next purchase, since I'm also shooting 5x7" these days, and cutting down 8x10" film is another use for it (particularly for E-6).

I'm new to 7x17 myself, but am expecting to print on 8x20 paper cut from 16x20 or 20x24 (in the case of Azo). 8x20 paper being oversize should allow for printing the borders plus some so that an overmat can be cut to allow the image to "float".

Congrats on your new acquisition. I'll see which one it is when I get home. Ebay is "blocked" (read: censored) here at my government workplace.
