Wow ! - thanks for that - what a bargin

Thanks for that - I've just bought 4 boxes of 50Sh 20x24 MGTB Matt for £20 per box :D

And

Galerie 10x8 G2 100Shts @ £6.50 per box :D:

Got myself 5 boxes of that too :D:D

However, its not a good sign - it sends out the message that they are either dumping old product lines or have lost the plot completely - niether is a good scenario for the long term health of Jessops

Forgot to mention that they also have Kodak Flexicolour fixer (which I'm informed works fine with B&W materials) for 47p per 2x5L pack Dead Link Removed and just spotted what might be (it says prints from slides anyway) 10 sheet packs of 12x16 Ilfochrome paper for £5.97 Dead Link Removed

Looks like the cheap B&W paper has all gone, or someone has realised their mistake

Has anyone who ordered the reduced price black & white paper checked their order status? My order is shown as 'backordered' - perhaps the pricing was a mistake...?

Tom

My order is on back order too.

I find it hard to believe that the price was anything other than a typo.

I doubt they could buy paper at that price.

I know shops are sometimes keen to clear their old lines but paying people to take it away....

There can't have been many boxes of paper at those prices. A couple of days ago I ordered three boxes of 16"x20" MGIV FB at £13/box. It disappeared from the site immediately after my order had been accepted. Two have been delivered, the third is "back ordered". Will be interesting to see if it ever actually turns up, but for the sake of tying up £13 I'm prepared to wait just in case Jessops stock system places an order with Ilford for a fresh box

When the next thread starts about Jessops going under due to a huge loss in profits, we know who to blame now don't we :tongue::D

The other bargain was a 5l bottle of Agfa FX-Universal fixer for 17p!

Collect at store was the only option so I couldn't tag it on to the paper delivery. Felt a bit guilty going in with my pennies, but the staff found it highly amusing :D

Kodak Ektacolor Edge F Colour Negative Rc Roll (20.3cm x 186m)

For £10 from Jessops...I think that will do a few test strips!

Cheers Dave

Daaaaamn missed the boat again :-( Why can't I get lucky for once!

My order status says the paper is back-order

I won't be holding my breath - it might take a "while" - a "while" as in Capt Evans "I'm just stepping outside, I might be a while"

We may all end up disappointed

My paper arrived today :D

The FB Boxes were seriously grubby and dusty - they have been on a shelf somewhere for a very long time

But what the heck - paper has a huge shelf life

Will the flexcolor fixer work with B&W? I would think so....

Thanks

Hello Mike,
Yes, there is a thread somewhere that confirms this. The only thing you have to be careful of IIRC is not to use the same working solution for B&W after fixing colour films in it.

Mine were fairly dusty too. I emailed Harman with the batch numbers, one box of MGIV was made in 2008, the other, and the Galerie were from 2006.

Hadn't realised just how heavy one box of paper could be... Not the sort of thing to go lugging home on public transport :surprised:

AND it turns out there are two rolls of 8"x186m per carton, so at five quid a roll, that is extra good value
