Classic. Lots of people feel the M2 probably the best shooter of them all. With a rangefinder, over time, most naturally gravitate to the 35mm focal length as a standard lens, and the 35mm frames on the M2 appear just by themselves. Sunny 16 and a handheld meter is easy to learn/use. M4's actually really well made too, but I prefer the loading system and the frame lines of the M2. My only camera these days, I have five of them; and yet still only two hands.
Thanks everyone. It just reminds me of my asking my relative, are you sure I can keep this? But he was very nice about it (it had belonged to a friend of his and had not been used in a long time).
I did take 2 rolls of film back in January just to test it out, and it looked fine except for what appears to be a shutter issue (light streak on one side). I've just this week taken the camera to Nippon Photo Clinic here in NYC for a CLA and to check everything out. I never thought I would be a Leica owner so I am looking forward to the experience!
