I tried to renew my subscription with my Visa last week but the transaction was declined twice. I tried again today with my bank debit card with the same results. I've been a subscriber for 11 years with no problem. Any ideas?

Any chance your bank implemented new authentication method? Some of these have initial issues as not all money handling systems are 100% compatible until they catch up.

it's weird that both the debit and credit cards are rejecting it. I'll probably have to call the bank.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the issues that Sean is hoping to deal with in the coming upgrade involves the payment processor.

Seems a small percentage have issues with our ccard processor. I am setting up a ccard processing account now with Stripe which should be more globally accepted.

Hmmm. In that case I was probably trolling, trying to exploit curiosity to increase viewership. Kind of like my "I Don't Care" thread about boldly defying convention by brewing my tea in the microwave. Obviously, I like to live on the edge.

I'm not sure how effective that technique is. I tend to make decisions on whether to read threads based on the titles, and would have been more likely to skip this one.
