I used the regular Kodak Fixer in a bag for years for both paper and film. It worked with everything, even fb paper. It just took much longer.
I now try to use rapid fixer for most everything as I don't mind the smell.
I use fixer for minilab machines, as you can get it much cheaper and in larger quantities.
