i havent read the whole bunch of responses, because its boring ;p

anyway IMO, you must choose. SLR/rangefinder/tlr and then budget

then format....

bronica slr cameras offer hand grip as an accessorie, which is super cool and comfortable in any situation. you can find about lenses easily.
645 format should be less heavy.

then mf rangefinder are also cool but very expensive. lenses are superb and silent. you can find mamiya/bronica stuff, and even fuji with fixed lens

then tlrs. i think a tlr is a better choice. is the less bulky and less noisy. i dont have something in mind, but you can check on rolleis, and then interchangeable mamiyas (like c330)

your question about the best lens, can only find subjective answers. i dont think that you would essentially with all of the people here. each one has a different taste. some prefer good colors, others sharpness, others maximum definition and so on.

most mf gear is pro, and it's multible times better than 135 format gear....
