Well it’s a slow and easy Saturday afternoon. I am just sitting around thinking about toys I wish I had, and it came to me. I need a 11 x 14 view camera.

Now, just to make it interesting, I think I should build it from scratch. The bender’s camera is the general concept I’m going for I think.

Does anyone know where I can find plans for such a project? I’ll throw this out up front, I am handy enough to do this, and I believe I have the necessary wood working tools to pull it off.

I’ll also note for kicks that my wife will probably get pissed, and not throw too much support my way, but that makes it all the more challenging now doesn’t it. She and I have an understanding. I do what I want and she yells at me for it. Seems to work out pretty good.

Cheating, but I have a great old Korona 1114 I'll sell you that needs just a bit of touching up to be useable. $450 which you'll spend anyway. And I do understand that for some folks a lot of the pleasure is in the doing.

Thank You for the offer, like you said, half the fun is in the doing. (To paraphrase)

At this point it's less about the money then the bargging rights. and it will give me something to do rather than stand behind the camera or work in the lab.

Jim,

Isn't that camera on the rails backwards? I thought the bed should fold up in front of the lens.

George, I'm going to move this over to the classifieds and try to not disrupt Shyguys thread. See you over there. J
