Nice score. At that price, it's worth whatever it costs to ship it.

WOW! Great deal! You've lucked out...congratulations! We must do more on this site to discourage analog photography for those who would seek magic digital bullets rather than develop their potential in seeing and discerning what matters in a photograph.....and then POUNCE!! on their abandoned equipment. You go, dude!

I am seriously envious. We have one of those and I would love to have about 9 more.

I wonder how much iSOLDit charged the seller for brokering such a great deal :D

This is $2500 at B&H.

Jesus, I'll say! I have one I purchased about 8 years ago for $800 which included 3 very nice lenses.

Good show.

I also wonder if it was their bright idea to not put the brand name on the listing.

Amazing. I think a lot of enlarger bargains get missed because of shipping. People can be irrational that way, looking at the shipping as a bad deal instead of figuring out the total investment compared to buying new. I paid more to ship my Solar 57 than I paid for the enlarger (with lenses, carriers, spares, trays, etc.).

I waited a couple of years for a D2V that was close enough to pick up. Packing and shipping can kill an otherwise good deal on heavy, bulky items.

I spoke to the seller this morning and she said they get 35% on items up to $250 and then 30% on items over $250.

Keep in mind that after paypal and ebay fees, they collect about 20%.

I feel bad for the owner of the enlarger. He only got paid $115 for this item!!!

Don't bother to buy a lottery ticket, you used up all your luck with that one.

I too feel bad for the former owner. If the item was competently listed on eBay, it would have at least fetched $400...probably more.

It is the fault of iSoldIt for not listing the brand in the title.

What neg carriers can I use with this enlarger?

I believe the standard Omega 4x5 carriers are interchangeable with the LPL.
If you ever locate the glass carrier with the masking blade set-up that is a real plus.

That is a great deal - I have one of those and it is a real tank - rock solid. Mine is mounted on the wall. That long skinny thingy (focus extension) that is included in your deal is sweet when you are making BIG prints and your arm isn't long enough to reach the enlarger head and see the image in a grain focuser.

Have fun

Okay, so the enlarger showed up 2 days early in 4 boxes.

The enlarger and the column were both in the original boxes and both still had the original factory bags and tape on them. THIS THING HAS NEVER BEEN USED.

Also included were two bulbs, 35mm, 6x6 and 4x5 neg carriers, as well as the focusing rod attachment thing and 2 lens boards.

I am excited.

Sweet mercy! I'm excited, too! And some folks say there ain't no more bargains to be had on Ebay.....

I know what you mean - deals on Ebay

Check this out:

It arrived in the original box from Beseler - apparently had been sitting around in dealer stock unsold for a long time. When I got it it was in brand new never used condition - except for one tiny slight blemish in the finish. The lightbulb inside the condenser housing was still wrapped in plastic. Folks, there are those who have bought into the digital revolution and who are dumping their analog gear - now is definately the time to snap it up cheap!

I would have had a much harder time equipping my darkroom with my budget limitations if the prices were still where they should be for this equipment.

For those in the Orlando FL area, check out Orlando Camera Exchange sometime - they buy up darkroom gear and resell on the cheap, as well as all sorts of other analog photo gear.

For instance, I bought a perfectly working, barely used Canon EOS-1 analog camera from them for $200.00 - and I mean the thing works perfectly.

To go along with the condenser head I found on Ebay, I purchased a Beseler 45MXT with working dichro head from the same place for $300.00, all I had to do was clean and lube the working parts.
