So I'm not sure if it was a glitch in the site, if someone put the price in wrong, or if this was some insane black friday deal, but I just bought an excellent condition Fuji GS645S from KEH for $22.80 with free shipping... This thing normally goes anywhere from $200-$400 depending on condition/accessories. I'm guessing they meant to price it at $228.00. I'm not complaining though

Stealing...

Well, a german court decided that even in such case of comma misplacement and sale agreement by the seller the seller may still cancel the sale.
Don't know about the US situation though.

Thats the sort price you expect to pay for a broken camera good only for parts. Hope you read the full description properly.

It is stated as "Excellent" on that bill. Thus either that or the price must be wrong.

I wouldn't have posted this until I had the camera in my hands, they are entitled to cancel in the UK I expect the same will apply to most parts of the world.

Having said that they do seem to hang themselves regarding their own cancellation policy.

Best of luck with it.

I'm not sure it could be cancelled here, not sure about mail order, but it's my understanding that in a physical store, if there is a price marked on the item (that isn't adulterated), and the customer is prepared to buy it, it must be sold at that price.

There are occasional deals to be had after markdown sales, for example, on stuff that missed getting repriced.

I would encourage you to verify the price with KEH. If that was not the intended price, there will be bad used camera karma on your conscience.

I had that kind of Karma once with a camera on eBay. Except I paid the shipping. Nothing bad about it.

even $228 is not that expensive if the camera is in good working condition.

Kind of what I was thinking. If it were me I probably would have called and verified the price. I'm not so poor I need to take advantage of someone else's mistake, and they might have just said to go ahead, take it at that price.

But that's me. Your results may vary. I just replaced a dead mamiya 645 body for less than I'd pay for a really crappy digital camera, or even a moderately nice night on the town, so I'm happy.

I didn't even have time to think, because I bought it so quick. Never again will I be able to buy this camera for $22 haha

I've bought enough stuff from KEH to keep my camera karma at rest haha

I won't worry. If they ship it and honor it, that's fine. If they don't, well, you are luck out.....

Yeah they'll probably honor the price and fire the person who put it in there wrong, or make him or her pay the difference, which would suck too.

No they will just ship the camera. They do not have time to second guess or review a purchase; it is not in their business model.

I agree. I've bought plenty of stuff from KEH that was ridiculously priced. I do wonder sometimes if the person grading something there really knows the equipment they're looking at.

Ridiculously low price??? Not that I know of....hehehehhe..... I say the price is fair, usually a bit slightly higher than ebay. I have looked at their Nikon 35mm film, Olympus OM, Mamiya rz67 and C330, and recently their Hasselblad inventories. Not cheap. Also, recently, I bought a Tamron 70-300 f4-5.6 vc lens for my D7000. It was in Near New condition and it wasn't cheap either.....because the same lens is being sold for $50+ less everywhere (on the message boards). I didn't want to risk getting that lens in the user condition because Tamron isn't known for having good quality control.

This. I would have checked with them. If it really is working and they want to clear it out and that really was the price, fine. But if it was a mistake I wouldn't take advantage of it.

I may miss an occasional deal but I'll sleep better.

Both of these. Honesty is what it's called when no one is looking. Upon finding someone's lost camera bag with ID inside, I would be on the phone in a heartbeat, no reward required. This is no different. The thread title is damning.

You are both welcome at my house for Thanksgiving dinner any time.

I once got a whole set of dishes for 25% of the value because the salesman was a numbskull. I told him his price was wrong, but he insisted he was right. After the 2nd time he confirmed the price, I hightailed it out of there with the goods. I tried to pay full price, but if he wouldn't listen to me, so too bad.
