So, what was it a choice between the BMW or the SP? :D Congrats! I'm drooling on my keyboard as I look at a pic!

Congrats. Too nice to sit on a shelf, it begs to be used.

No worries. I am not a collector, so I will definitely be using the camera!

Laz127 - you're funny! yup, the SP won over the BMW!

Even though I am a user and not a collector, if I owned one, I would have to place it on a pedestal under Plexiglas.

Where did you get it and how much did you pay?

Do they have any more?

narsuitus,

I got it at popflash.com (Tony Rose) only b/c I've bought a lot of stuff from them in the past. They are out of stock, but Stephen Gandy (cameraquest.com) still has a few in stock. The price is US$6900.

Incidentally, I received the camera yesterday, and I put a roll of film in it. I have it here at work with me today, and I intend to test out the camera after work today. No meter, and I was too lazy to haul my Sekonic, so I'm going to use the sunny 16 rule (it also happens to be a sunny day today, thank goodness).

Heck, that leaves you plenty $$ left of for the BMW! May I suggest the M6? It sports a 500+ hp V-10 engine and a 7-speed SMG III transmission. It would go perfectly with the camera! :D :D :D

Nice, have fun with the SP 2005, I got a chance to handle one two years ago.
