I Am Happy For You !
And also slightly sad ...
You will be amazed by the quality of Kodachrome !
And then there will be no more.
It's only a roll of film, but it's film that I started using when I was 16.

Don't it always seem to go, That you don't know what you've got till it's gone

And while you are at it, download Kodachrome, by Paul Simon.

Forget the download JDogg, Jump into your Horseless Carriage,
and get the 8 Track of "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" !!!

Steve, I'm assuming that Mr. JDogg, is a wee bit younger than us ...

P.S. : Mr. JDogg, at a certain age a gentleman,
should use his proper name at the end of his post.

Some day you'll be an old APUG'er like Steve, and I !

It's a high school nickname from way back, although the fellas at work call me Paparazzi because I always have a camera around my neck. Lol

Jesse

I had that 8-track, and many-many others:D

You mean waaaaay back in 2007, or even further back to 2006 ???
My high school nickname was Mad Dog, that was Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Back to 1979 !!!

That's nothing...
In my days, nick names had yet to be invented.

Kodachrome was part of my history as a photographer, my very first role of film in 1974. I just discovered them, horribly underexposed, but I salvaged a few shots in photoshop, here's my favorite:

Actually about 1999 was when I was given the name, graduated in 03'. I sometimes feel as if I was born 20 or 30 years too late.

The ironic thing is not only am I shooting this roll but I'm doing it on a Nikon camera.

You Arrived Right On Time !

thirty years ago, you would be standing in a camera store,
and admiring all the equipment that was extremely expensive.
Now you can buy a Minolta XE-7 with 58mm f/1.4 lens,
and a funky corduroy / denim camera strap for $25.00 !
Although a roll of Kodachrome, and a mailer was reasonably priced.

You got a Nikon camera, and Kodachrome will give you those
nice bright colors, and will give you the greens of summers.
And will make you think all the world's a sunny day.
Oh Yeah !!!

Remember to get "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" on 8 Track !

Ron, what would that age be? I'm hella old, but I haven't matured yet.

Jeff

Yeah I do have to say being in the digital age means all this good 35mm stuff comes cheap and the digital worshippers don't know what it's worth, I found a Nikon F3 on craigslist with two lenses for 75 bucks, of course someone else who knew what it was worth beat me to it

Just waiting for that 35 dollar FD-mount 300mm L glass to make its way into a pawn shop or a thrift store.

WTF ???, You're Hella Old ??? How Old Are You, 16 ???
Where do you live ??? In South Park, Colorado ...
I'm kinda immature myself, but the only time I ever used the word Hella,
I was listening to the No Doubt CD. Now, you Hella ruined it for me, and probably everyone else.
I liked you so much better when you were just LXDude, now you're just a Grup ...

I have 3 rolls of Kodachrome. It expired in 88 and I will keep it around. I shot my last roll of E-6 last month (Elitechrome) and decided to give it up as the cost per roll is out of my range.

I too am going to be part of history. I bought my first and last roll of Kodachrome last month (Exp 3/2010 cold stored) for $15 at a camera show. I plan to do a school project based around me shooting that roll. I still have 18 frames left according to my Canon Elan 7 and I have shot it at over three locations all far away.

Ofcourse I am hella old and have already downloaded the mp3...

Or for fun here is a 3D rendered shot of a few boxes I wish I had  (The first is my actual box)

Noticing that there is not a box of Kodachrome 25 (the good stuff) in the entire thread, i can't help but think that you all missed the part of history that really mattered.
Kodachrome 64? What on earth is that for? :D

Time to correct them - one paparazza, two paparazzi!
