1. Naked children over 2 years old.
2. Macro Shots
3. Infrared
4. Cross processing

Border line stuff, I still do but should probably think about:
I have done some weddings and would do another if someone poor enough needed it done.
Use red filters, even in conjuction with a polarizer.
Use a Softar for some of the older members of the family.
I'm still a sucker for pretty sunsets, even though I've never taken a good one.

As a kid I would have said, "I don't do fish, pea soup or internal organs of animals of any kind" That's been whittled away to the organ meat barrier.

Until recently I would have said, No way will I ever eat raw fish (sushi). Now when my fisherman coworkers ask where I'm going for lunch, I reply, "the Bait Shop"...

I wonder what's next?

Oh, this thread was about photography?!

Underwater photos...If I'm diving, I want to see and exprience that magic for myself. And have you seen how much that gear costs?!!!

I've got very little I won't do - I did one wedding, assisted at a second, and there won't be a third. I also won't photograph any event (for hire, and especially for friends) for the same reason as someone else mentioned here - invariably, something will go wrong that will become inexcusable and wreck the friendship. Otherwise, I'll photograph anything if I find it visually interesting, although most of what I photograph are places and nudes.

Photography is a culture or "do's" in which the government already inputs way too many "don'ts" leaving me with too many of "what can I do", "where can I do it's" and "can it be done's" to self impose the "do nots" upon myself. Now I will impose a few of the doughnuts upon myself from time to time....

In November 1999 I attended to "The Expressive Print II", John Sexton's workshop. In that occasion I start joking with two fellow students, one from Argentina and another from Norway, about the endless samples of photos with Aspen Trees in it. So we decided to start a compilation of "cliches" or "common places", and started, childishly as: -I don't do Aspen Trees-, -I don't do Aspen Trees, or Calla Lilies-, etc.

So, there goes mine: I don't do Aspen Trees, Calla Lilies, Dogs, Slot Canyons, Transvestites. (sometimes I fall, and do some)

What you don't do?, it's about cliches.


ps. I don't consider "common place subjects" as something pejorative. The thing is that if you work with this kind of subject, you have to go beyond what has been done.
