depending what time I get back from my night out. I am using HC110 as my developer, after going to digital truth, they had two options dilution B at 14.5 minutes or dilution A at about half the time. What are the merits of either option. This is 35mm film by the way.

Either option you chose, you should end up with the same results. Each dilution has different strength of developer in it so the time is adjusted accordingly. I always go with the longer development option just for a little reassurance that film was well agitated and the developer had enough time to work into the emulsion. Good luck!
