Hello fellow Wet Workers- (sounds kind of weird)

Photrio now is active and I would like to start a Print exchange with a few other practitioners.
Each participant will have to produce 4 images to submit to the others.

I would like to limit the exchange to 5 people at this time which includes myself, and here are some basic guidelines..

Print must be hybrid in nature, whereas the final print is a combination of analogue wet process and digital negative. No all analogue workflow please.
I am hoping the participants will practice safe archival methods.

Since this is a way for me to collect other peoples work... all five images must be matted with archival front and backing, Hinged into the matts please if possible.
All prints must be signed , dated and edition number put on them. Not to mention process used and an notes that will make these much more valuable over time to me.
Since I use editions of 5 I will allow various images to go out to each person so to not burn out the edition. example I will supply a bone series image, a dress series image, a shoe series image, a metal series image, and a bike series image. Each print will be numbered .

Serious applicants only who work with this workflow..
Since this is my thread I get to choose the first four people, ( I know what a self serving bastard I am )
Timelines would be each persons work should be delivered before the end of the year.

I would love to be able to participate in this kind of exchange someday Bob, but for now I'll have to settle for watching from afar.

Bob, any comments on details like suggested print size, preferred processes, any difficulties shipping across the border? What about folks who don't bother numbering prints? Many alt processes lead to unique prints anyway...

My suggested size would be 11 x 14 or 8 x10 approx print size in appropriate presentation matt. Preferred processes - I am partial to permanent processes so a lot fit this bill- There should be no problems shipping across the border- Numbering of prints - i prefer to see numbered prints myself but I understand that these are mostly unique prints so this is a minor issue.

I'd be interested, probably working from a large format original negative, scanned for a digital neg and printed in Pt/Pd.

Bob,

I would be interested in your print exchange. I do lith, platinum palladium, and palladium over pigment. Current lith is 6x9 in 11/14 mat; platinum/palladium and palladium over pigment are 9x13.5 in 16x20 mat. My current work in on my website. I also have printed all my Yosemite black and white in platinum/palladium. PM me if you are interested.

Let me know if you have any feedback. I'm surprised more people haven't shown interest...

Hi Denny

I like these images, I am surprised as well but maybe its too early in the hybrid forum for something like this to take off.
we have a couple of more weeks to see if there is any traction.
