Huge camera for auction

A friend sent me this link, I have no idea what this critter is but if I were any closer to the auction I'd go check it out...

Looks like a fixed-focus 12x20 vertical. Who knows whatever it was made for.

Where is it being auctioned? When I searched the Zip site I couldn't find where it is being auctioned at (but I did open above on my phone which maybe cut out that info)

It's in the middle of NY state, I emailed the auctioneer about it and he just replied that he has no idea what it is and doesn't care to check. I would guess that the lens is probably a pretty good find if it covered 12x20?
