I shot several rolls of HP5 120 at EI 200. I have not shot HP5 in some time and I can't find my previous development times! Does anyone here have any suggestions for a starting point? I use HC-110 at 20C usually in dilution D or E in a Paterson tank with four inversions at the start of each minute. Nothing fancy. Neither Ilford nor the massive dev chart were helpful this time.

Massive has an E time for 400. I would start there -- maybe deduct 30 to 60 seconds for 200. When in doubt, I err toward overdevelopment.

D would give you too short a development time, I would think.

I develop HP5 rated at EI 320 in Dilution H (1:63) for 10 1/2 minutes -- sometimes more or less depending on scene contrast -- at 70 degrees. Agitation is constant for the first 30 seconds, then 3 gentle inversions in 10 seconds every minute. That drill has worked for me for a long time... Good luck.

Here is Jason Brunner's APUG article about 1+49 HC-110 (essentially the same as dilution E).

No time there for an EI of 200, but you might already be comfortable with adjusting times for 400 - 200.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

I shoot it at ASA 250 and HC-110 Dilution H for 10 minutes at 75 degrees. Agitate three inversions every two minutes.
