According to the Massive Dev chart, these 2 films (35mm/36 exp) using D76 or Arista Prem 1:9 developer, have the same developing time. Within 30 sec, that is. Is it advisable to process these 2 films together in the same tank? At one time I tried 35mm and 120 together and wasn't pleased with the results. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Gerry

The times don't look the same to me in D76. Which speed are you looking at for Legacy Pro 100 and which dilution. At box speed for both and at 1+1 HP5 is 13 mins and Legacy Pro is 10.5 mins.

if films are within 30 seconds of each other i don't worry about it and do them together, using the longer time. The extra time you take dumping out, pouring in, and other stuff adds a bit of slop already, and it's isn't a significant addition.

doing 135 and 120 together should make no difference -- the chemistry doesn't know what size the film is. If the films are the same, they should process the same.

In the end, I used Arista Premium developer 1:9 for 7 mins @68F. Worked well for the Legacy Pro 100 but not a good mix with the HP5+. I should have used D76 and processed them separately. Thanks for the input.
