If you have $49,000 lying around and are so inclined to spend it, you could get this camera. It's the first production Leica IIId! I would think anyone who spends that kind of money on a camera would probably not use it. Would they even display it?

If someone collects cameras and can afford to spend $49k on a rare one to add to their collection, then why shouldn't they? I suspect that they can probably afford a few dollars more to spend on one to use (and some more dollars to build a display case to keep the historically important one in good condition).

Not that I have the money, but even if I did I am not sure I would be willing to pay that much for a camera with someone else's name engraved/imprinted on it.:rolleyes:
