How to use Positive Film as black and white

You have color slide film, and want to develop it as B&W. You do not care if it is positive or negative. A negative is acceptable to you.

If I understand you correctly, what you are asking should not be too difficult for some of our more experienced members. I think many people are simply looking at "color" or "slide" and may be missing a simple solution. I am not good at alternate development, so cannot give good ideas.

Orwo 4185 process was designed specifically for reversal processing of Orwo UN54 film. It might or might not do well on other films as the first developer has quite high amount of Thiocyanate in it. Do your testing with a small strip before you put an entire roll into it.

You know very well that this process worked well for me on Ilford films, I even used it with FP4 with Theoria and it produced a white and brown slide. Even the expired Ukrainian film Svema from the 80s came out with very acceptable results.
What's wrong with you, man?
Uncle ORWO never said that this process was specifically designed for his emulsions only.
