anyone ever dismantled a hassy 501cm body. I'd like to know how you remove the internals. Looks like everything slides out backwards if you know what to loosen.

sussed the dismantling. now what would you recommend for lube or none at all? The rear curtain doesn't close of its own accord cos its sticking. it closes when you wind on but it should close when you release the shutter button.

Hasselblads have this nasty little habit of making all their parts proprietary, and so you have to have authentic Hasselblad tools to work on the things, and the tool set is something like $20K USD for a full set. Because of the potential cost of fixing anything you make a mess of, I'd send it to an authorized Hasselblad repair tech and let them handle it.

to late. its already in pieces on my desk. And all it needed to get it open is a watch makers screw driver. Very simple and the problem is just a sticky mechanism. Will get some silicon lube tomorrow and all should be working again.

If the rear light trap isn't closing properly the correct solution would be to replace the part.
Now, the way it happens in the real world.
The blind is pressed in place on the shaft on which it pivots.
If you push the blind back into its proper position it's possible to crimp the blind onto the shaft. You could use a TINY dab of epoxy or JB weld at the gap in the blind that runs the length of the shaft.
Crimping the parts together will usually be adequate.
Expensive toolkit wasn't it? There's not much you can't get apart with a common screwdriver.

thats not the problem. The problem is that the links between bottom and top shafts which are on a sprung system within the mechanical wind up bit, are sticking as the the link rods slide through their channels.
A little dry silicon lube should cure the problem. If it doesn't then its off to hassy for repair.
