Hey everyone!

I'm look for advice and information on all of the different types of v30's please!

Can someone please make a really simple straightforward explanation of each one and what to look for when buying and how to buy them- and where from?

Unnecessary and rude posts removed.

Have a look here for info on the different V series.

I assume you wish to process C41 film commercially if you are interested in these machines.
Just bear in mind that there is maintenance and knowledge required in running this type of equipment.

I don't wish to sound pessimistic but you will need certain volumes to keep your chemistry with in range.
For example the V30 has a 7.6L dev tank, so at a rep rate of 25ml per film (depending on chemistry used) you would need 304 films to be processed in a one month period just to turn over the dev tank.

If you do wish to process commercially then the best of luck. If I can be of any assistance just let me know and I will try and help.

I think they have mainly 2 types that use different chemical SM and RA. The RA uses standard RA-4 chemicals. I am not familiar with the SM type. I am not sure how many rolls minimum needed to have a good and stable process.

In N.Y. I'd have thought that there must be still be mini-labs with either the Noritsu in question or someone such as the owner of the lab who may have done a similar comparison at some time

Might be worth finding out if there are any such machines in N.Y. and asking direct questions there

There are Noritsu groups on Facebook, might want to check there.

Thank you everyone. Yes I've been asking many places but people are busy I guess.

Thank you so much for this! This breaks it all down for me. Would you happen to have more advice, personal advice? Also can I direct message you/give you a call sometime? I can also pay via venmo or zelle if things worked out with us buying this machine as our technician

You are welcome to send me a PM here.
While I never operated a Noritsu film processor, I always had Fuji C41 processing machines, the principle is the same on them all.
Are you buying from a used lab dealer or from an individual? (think of it as though you were buying an expensive used car)
If you intend to purchase, be sure to ask if there is a warranty and availability of spare parts and service history. (see checklist below)
For example, see here. https://www.serranorey.com/minilab-parts/773-spare-parts-kit-for-noritsu-v3050100.html
Find out if there is a repair engineer locally and pay him/her to check out the machine. It will be money well spent.

Here is a checklist and tips.

Have you researched your chemical suppliers and your waste chemical disposal?
Have you made a business plan?
Have you a location for your machine to operate from? Remember there is a lot involved in moving them from location to location.

Google the vendor as well, lots of horror stories to be found online about some of those vendors. Facebook also has many first hand experiences of dealing with resellers and dealers. Please do your due diligence before committing $8,000 USD or so on a machine like that.
