A bunch! My fridge is small, and that's where the most recent stuff goes for my "drugs of choice": Verichrome Pan and Panatomic X mostly, and a smattering of Super XX and TXP 320. Across as many formats as I have: 35mm to 8x10. The rest is in my basement where it stays pretty cool. Seems to work when I need it to. I stick with Kodak b/c in my experience it holds up well after expiry, esp. the aforementioned FX and VP, and it's all expired, that's for sure.

I saved about 20 rolls of Ektachrome 100, a couple hundred feet of Velvia 50 (before the discontinuation/switch to the newer version and price increases), and some Plus-X. (Plus-X was my favorite b&w film, and Velvia 50 is my favorite slide film.) Then, as more types of film were being discontinued, I'd buy a few rolls (or a bulk roll in a few cases) and stick them in freeze each time. The original idea was to have enough Velvia for at least 10 years (I don't shoot a lot of it). Then I got into a phase where I bought film from people cleaning out their freezers when they switched to digital, where I took risks. Some of it was good, some wasn't kept right. Then there were various projects that I bought professional film for and had some remaining (always buy extra), so I froze it, knowing it'd be cool to still be able shoot it when it got discontinued even though I never got to while it was still made. Finally, when I started finding bargains on even commonly available types, like 200-speed color neg, I would buy a few rolls and freeze them to avoid overpaying in the future. A period went by when I wasn't shooting any film at all. But I still didn't hesitate to buy a few rolls. Years ago, I even paid $10 per roll for some 35mm Panatomic-X. I think I finally have something to use it on...but I need to get my b&w developing skills honed again first...it's been a while. I have a lot of film compared to the rate I use it at, but most of it was intended for long-term storage anyway.

I am taking eleven boxes of five 120 rolls each. The film is Kodak Portra 400, Kodak Portra Vivid Color 400, Kodak Portra Ultra Color 400 and Kodak Tri-X 400. That is making a big dent in my stash!

I haven't done a count recently, but based on my last one, I probably have about 300 rolls of various 35mm and 120 films, but at least 25% of those (maybe more) would be of discontinued films like HIE, Efke infrared, Provia 400x, etc. I also have 100 sheets of 4x5 film. I also keep some paper in the fridge or freezer - mostly stuff I'm saving for particular projects and/or has been discontinued. I have a dedicated film fridge in my darkroom, so that helps.

For a long time, I was buying 2 rolls for every roll I shot.After I realized the many rolls of new film I had bought were nearing or passing the "use by" date, I have conciously made an effort to reduce my film stock. It makes little sense to have film aging in my refigerator when I can buy fresh film from Amazon or B&H and have it at home in 2-3 days.

Currently I have in 120, a 4 rolls of TX400, 5 rolls of Portra 400, 2 rolls of expired Portra NC 400, 2 rolls of Velvia 50, and 20 rolls of Arista EDU Ultra 100.

In 35mm, I have 100 ft rolls of HP5+ and Arista EDU Ultra 200 in use. 3 rolls of EliteChrome 100, 2 rolls of Velvia 50, 2 rolls of Provia, 5 rolls of Panatomic X, 1 roll of Efke 100, 3 rolls of Rollei Infrared, of roll each of FPP's B&W and color IR films, 5 rolls of Portra 500 along with several scattered rolls of HP5+ and Kentmere 400. And some Ferrania film on the way.

My current goal is to shoot all my remaining EliteChrome this summer and fall. After that, I will try to keep a few rolls of fresh slide films, Enter and Portra for each format, bulk rolls of HP5 and probably FP4 in 35mm, and 5-10 rolls of both a 100 ISO and 400 ISO B&W in 120 (probably Arista EDU 100 and Kodak TX400).
