is it confirmed that it is a folder????
Yeah, it's clearly a rangefinding folder, there are some picture links on the other threads.
I would actually say the opposite. People don't really buy things they need, they buy things they want. I am a believer that the way to market any new film camera is in two modes:It's gotta be affordabe. The market is small as it is. They won't have a chance if the price is anything short of an outright bargain.

Yes, fashion. Film cameras, in my view should be marketed as a high end, chic, fashion just like a Vuitton accessory, Porsche, etc... Only difference is that they produce high end, high quality products - real photographic gelatin silver prints or alternative process prints.
- Lomo and ToyCameras to the hip crowd
- High End Leica's, Hasselblad's, etc... in the same leagues as other famous fashion brands
From the posts I have read on APUG the so called existing small market buys as cheap and used as possible anyway, for the most part. There is one thing I do know about business, you can't sell a lot of things to cheap folks. It isn't worth the effort.
