I need to store negatives into Print File archival pages, such as https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...le_PF357BXW100_Archival_Storage_Page_for.html. I was wondering how many pages with negatives will fit into one cm or one inch of storage.

Speaking of storage, what are the opinions regarding 3-ring binders or some kind of box for storing Print File pages?

I have a lot of old negatives, some in glassine envelopes and some in the sleeves provided by photofinishers for color print film. I will also need to store newly processed B&W. I'm hoping, hoping, that once I get through my scanning and developing backlogs, that I can go back to shooting B&W film, my "first love" in photography. But first things first.

Those pages require over-size binders - they are wider than 8.5 inches.

I store mine in hanging file drawers, you can buy the hanger sticks or reclaim them from old hanging file folders and they slip through the slot provided on the punched hole side of the sheet. Best to use the print files that run the negs parallel to the hanger bar.
I have two four drawer file cabinets in my darkroom that allows me to store by format and color/bw.

Figure on about 40 to 45 pages per inch of thickness. If I store a contact sheet in a sleeve and the negatives in a sleeve, along with a sheet of paper for each set describing what is on the negatives, it's about 7/8 inches thick without squishing it.

Usually I need one binder per year, around 100 to 120 pages without contact sheets. If I shoot more, just add another binder
Thank you for this info. In my situation, I have about 900 negative strips in glassine envelopes, so I'm gooing to refile those first. Those negatives are mostly from the 1960s and 1970s, when all I could afford was bulk-loaded B&W, with home development.
