I use the Calumet shutter tester; it works well, and is easy to use. I have found that newer Copal and Compur shutters are very accurate in general. The problem is the older shutters; ILEX, Alphax, and Betax shutters can be off by 1/3 or 1/2 stop. It is important to check these shutters in particular.
