I want three or four more Kodak Retinas - to mark the development of the type
A couple of Baldas between the 1938 folders and the cheap and nasty late 50s tat
A Zeiss Ikon folding Contessa and a Zeiss Ikon Tenax I
And anything else that catches my eye.

We have a "how many cameras do you need?", so I thought I'd start this thread. I have about 13 analog cameras and there's about 7 more that's on my list. Couple more Nikons-FA and F3HP. Currently I do not have a Canon so maybe an A1 or AT-1. I have a Pentax ME Super but want a KX. And a Minolta XD11 for my 2nd Minolta. I've never owned an Olympus so an OM-1 would be nice. I have a Kiev 4 RF but I'd like a Kiev SLR-Kiev 10 or Kiev 15. I'd like a Kiev 60 MF but they're not reliable so maybe a rebuilt Kiev 60 called the Arax. So what's on your list?

i dunno ...
i keep saying i don't want anymore,
but i always end up with one more .. so
i can't really put a number on it ...

There’s one camera I definitely want to be mine, the film motion-picture camera of my own invention. It doesn’t exist yet, I want to build it. I still have my little workshop but will have to clear it and put machines and tools on a shelf somehow. Social welfare forced me to do away with the shop and sell everything but I don’t own the things. At 53 I get only denials from companies, I think I’m too old as a mechanical engineer and machinist. So until I have a job somewhere which will allow me to build something during free times that camera remains a dream.

Somebody has a 1926 Bell & Howell Eyemo from me. He doesn’t give it back. That’s the other camera I want to have.

The Olympus SP35 would be a nice camera to get hold of. Most of the cameras that I were donated cameras that people have given me. They are just not using them anymore.

All you need is the F2. It was a masterpiece and was never improved upon for what it was. And it was never matched. The nod on quality is frequently German.

The Nikon F and the Canon New F-1 are better built than the F2. And the Canon F-1 (old) is better built than those three. Just sayin', if you're really after build quality. Otherwise the F2 is the best Nikon camera I own and an exxxxxcellent camera.

What i would really like to own is a Rolleiflex SL66. I want one so badly... And a Linhof technica in mint shape.

I'm afraid my list of 'wants' far exceeds reality.
My 'wants' are limited only by my imagination. I would really like to try all different cameras.
In my current hunt for 'shooters', I am looking for a Leica IIIf in my 2 digit price range. I would 'like' a few Leica lenses to go with it but am willing to settle for the Russian clones I now have. I am also looking for a Kodak Bantam Special since I'm now slitting 120 and reloading it on 828 spools. Hmmm...both a blue and a green and a brown Kodak Beau Brownies....a Welta Reflecta, Ensign Midget, Zeiss Ikon Contaflex TLR, Agfa Flexilette, Bolsey Model C, Ansco Memo, ...........

How many cameras you neighbor has?
How many cameras you neighbor wants?
How many cameras your "analog friend" has? ...

How many camera bags do you have?
How many cameras do you have that have a partly shot roll of film in them?
How many rolls of film do you have that have shots on them, but are awaiting development?
How many rolls of developed film do you have that are awaiting printing?

I would say there are two types amongst us collectors/hoarders:

Those who really want some camera (either to add to/complete their collection or because they fascinated by it).
And those who come across a camera, like it (for what ever reason) and when within their budget just buy it.

I'm very happy with what I have and don't want or need anything else.

I think these types of threads are started just to annoy you

Nice. What format and viewing system? I like the mirror-shutter of the Beaulieu best, but like the Bolex cameras more even though 20% (?) is siphoned off by the reflex prism.

Some brands or types of cameras just don't click with some people. I've never been really interested in Rollei or TLR's, although the design of the Rolleiflex 3003 SLR is brilliant.

I must be a serious minority as I've no desire for a Leica.

Me neither... never have. A gazillion years ago when I shot 135 I liked my Olympus OM1, OM2 and later my Nikon FM2. I had fun with a few others but the Olympus and Nikon were my favorites.

Would honestly be interested to hear why. TIA

Never owned an RF camera but used one once. Felt awkward, clumsy and uncomfortable to me. I had to pay attention to the focusing instead of seeing it. Just too different from what I've used for a long time I guess.

I would like more money to buy more cameras if I wanted them however, I really don't need or want any more, think I finally have grown out of that.

Me too. I only know one thing about Leicas(and Harleys)-they're out of my price range.

Don't worry you don't have it bad, I normally stop after I have five serial numbers but I know people who have more than beads on their rosary.
