I always laugh when a television show has people talking about the permanently dark side of the Moon.

It's almost as dangerous as a 2nd Lieutenant with a map.![]()
Unless they're talking about Walrath's massive orb.I always laugh when a television show has people talking about the permanently dark side of the Moon.

I take umbrage at that!
I was very good with a compass and a map.

vpwphoto said:PE... with all the dangers and ounce by ounce calculations I am surprised at how much contraband made it into the capsules.
I always wondered about the golf ball... I have a feeling mission control "sh#t" when that came out on the moon.
Armstrong is such the pilot's pilot and engineer's engineer, I bet he little tolerance for such highjinx on his missions.
vpwphoto said:That is some cool info Mr. Photo Engineer. Never thought about volatiles evaporating in the vacuum.
I always wondered about the Gamma radiation fogging the film... was there lead linings on the Blads?
I talked with David Wolf (shuttle man), he spoke about how much radiation he received daily on the space station.
Wolf said that in the Russian part of the station some of the windows are not lead glass and your hair will burn right off your arm when the sun shines directly through.
I still have my last set of white room garb, booties and hat!

halloween next week!
Cameras were not the only thing dumped before return. They would get back in the LM, hook up to LM life support, then dump their PLSS back packs. Close the hatch and repressurize the compartment. I would think that by now the cameras would have picked up a static charge and been covered with dust.
I wonder why ? Surely they could have been
unloaded in the Lunar Module, so the cameras
could have been left on the moon complete,
hopefully for some future collector to find.
THis is as bad as a moon landing denyer. THERE IS NO wind to move dust... the meteror crators and all are Billions of years old and intact because things only move on the moon when something crashes into it. Sure a little dust will eventually settle on things... but why post crazy stuff.
I quit this one-upmanship game.... I don't see any women one-uping other folks reasonable comments.
Selling them on eBay would be a deal. Some flipper will flood the market by offering all of them at one time and the value will drop like a rock. Postage will not be an isue as the seller will only offer pickup is the responsibility of the buyer. He may offer a deal through Mr. Richard Branson to get a ride to pickup.
What about space dust?
