How many enlarging lenses do YOU have??

I have about 35 for 35mm alone!

I'm not gonna say, except that I seem to have accumulated about 15 Kodak Enlarging Ektars! Plus a bunch of lenses from the usual suspects, including EL-Nikkors, Componons, Rodagons, Minolta, Wollensak, Elgeet and Leitz.

I have around seven among three enlargers. Using mostly just one.
Why do you need many?

They all have unique "personalities"! Some are spares or different vintages of the same lens (I have all 3 focotar versions). I also have 7 enlargers-condenser, semi-point-light-source condenser, semi-diffuse, & diffuse.

More than I really need. But that is besides the point. With lenses as cheap as they are today, I can afford to have more lenses.
I have a set of lenses for each of 2 enlargers, cuz I don't want to hassle with removing the lenses from the lens boards and mounting them on another lens board. Some of them use retaining rings to hold the lens on, and that can be a PiA to deal with, so those lenses stay mounted.

Though at some point I would like to try some of these other lenses, like the Kodak Ektar.

Three 50mm, 80mm and 135mm

Lots, I have tried a 12 step plan to stop buying them. When someone offered me a perfect Rodagon 135mm for 10.95 I fell off the wagon. I was a Nikon F2 kid so of course I now have all the El Nikkors in the bubbles. I think I'm up to 3 150mm El Nikkors, 3 150 Rodagons, I have 5 3 lens turrets, for my Beselers. Seems like there is a steady flow coming in for free at lots of shops. I don't think I paid more than 75 bucks for anything other than an apo-Rodagon weird 90mm, even that was cheap. Nothing has fungus. I keep them dry and out of the darkroom. 12 in Ilex Paragon on a Elwood lens board paid 20 bucks and some shipping, it's a great lens.
Don't ask me about safelights that's another story

If that weird 90 Apo Rodogon lens is the 90 Apo Rodagon N, you are a very lucky person. Firstly, they are very rare, very few sold, secondly, they are very good and exceedingly sharp. I used one of them for reproduction work enlargements and for making enlarged colour print film transparencies from C41 colour negative film. I don't believe there was ever a better made enlarging lens by any manufacturer than that lens.

As for my own enlarging lenses, I run 50, 100 and 150 Schneider Componon S lenses. They are extremely fast and efficient to use, especially the 50 and 100 with their pre-set aperture control lever.

That I actually use? Four, a 50 mm f2.8 El Nikor N for 35mm, a 60mm WA Companon and an 80mm f4 Rodagon , for 6 X 6 and 6 X 4.5, and a 105mm Rodagon for 6 X 9. Then there are all the ones I used to use, and the orphans I've been given.

50mm x2, 60mm, 75mm, 90mm, 105mm x3, 135mm, 150mm (I think).

One of the 105mms and the 150mm are Rodagons showing severe signs of element separation.

One of the other 105mm is a Wollensak with a thread size that I don't have a retaining ring or mounting plate for.

I have two three lens turrets for my Omega D6, and sufficient lensboards for my (currently stored) Beseler 67C to ensure that all but the Wollensak are easily used.

If anyone has an extra good quality 135mm or 150mm lens that will handle 4x5, we should talk .

In use: one for each format (50, 75, 105, 135). I have spare 50mm lenses for the two enlargers packed away. Fortunately I can switch the mounted lenses between the two enlargers in use very simply.

Those are 2 of the BEST lenses I've ever used. The Neonon does a spectacular job w/chrome on classic cars!

And you actually use how many? I have two Apo-Rodagon 50's (gifts), an Apo-R 80, 90, 105, 135, 150 Rodagons, a 180 Apo Rodagon, 180, 210 & 240 Rodagons and a 240 Apo Rodagon.. Also have a 100 Componon-S I bought new 25 years ago and a 150 componar that was given to me. Of those, the 80, 180 & 240 Apo's and the 135 Rodagon get the most use. L

I use them ALL, flitting from one to the other as the spirit moves me. I like change. I have a Spiratone Resomax & a Matrix, both 50mm 2.8s. Bet you never heard of those! Have yet to try them.
