Well, I can't compete with Bob. I have three but am only using one of them.

Accura 35mm
Omega B66
Beselar 23CII dual dichro

I own just 3 enlagers. I use the LPL at most ande the other two frequently. Depends on what I'm doing...
LPL/Saunders B&W Split Grade 4x5"
Durst 805 with Colourhead 35mm till 6x9cm
Omega Chromega 35mm till 6x6cm
And a lot of accessories from this three boys
That's enough I think. No more space available...

I have two enlargers.

The first is a Meopta Opemus 6 Color which I use regularly. Then back at the beginning of December I was given a mint condition Meopta Opemus 4 bw enlarger (with Oxley Anastigmat 50mm lens and Minolta E Rokkor 75mm lens) in it's original suit case style box.
I haven't used the Opemus 4 yet, it's too easy just to use the Opemus 6. I may put it up on Ebay later in the year.

Two. One is a Beseler 23C (the original version that I bought new), and a Bogen Dichroic that I have never used; looks nice, but never actualy printed with it. Don't ask about lenses...

I just got rid of 2 Omega B22s; one was my excellent pretty darkroom standard. Just last November, a friend gave me an old D2 that had been collecting dust in her basement. Before that it had been collecting dust for 40 years in the village newspaper darkroom, albeit being used. They gave it to her when they went digital, but she'd switched at the same time. She kept it for 2 years out of guilt, I think, then offered it to me. I've completely refurbished it and equipped it with some better lenses. It's given me an excuse to find myself an old Speed Graphic 4x5.

I also have an old Elwood Patterns enlarger. It's about the same size as a B22, equiped with a 6x6 negative carrier. Anybody want it? Free to you if you pay the mailing. It should cost around $35 CDN to mail; I'd have to check to be sure.

I have no enlarger at the time.
I had 5 at the same time for a short period. three Opemuses one Liesegang and a Durst Laborator 900.
We have some plans rebuilding and insulating a shed to make room for our freezer and some other stuff. In my additional plans for that rebuild is a small room though sans water it may do. When the time comes I will be looking for a Magnifax and if I have to I'll buy it new.
Cheers Søren

Have two - Magnafax 4 for 6x9 and down, De Vere 54 for b+w 4x5". Also an Opemus enlarger for 6x6 whose sole function is to go on the road for printing demonstrations to save the Magnafax from possible damage. As a committee member of a camera club, I am constantly offered enlargers, so could easily have 202. Sadly, I can just find homes (usually after 6 to 9 months) for enlargers with color heads, maybe even with filter drawers, but older enlargers without either I scrap immediately.

David, what kinds of enlargers are you asked to rehome and how much would one of them cost? Feel free to PM me.

Lachlan

Update:

I sold the Durst 670.
Now keeping only a Meopta 5 and Omega DII. I'm starting to hate 35mm because of too meany possibe processing errors (read: dust & in-camera scratches).

I feel more at home with my toy cameras, 4x5" an 13x18cm. ULF contact printing might become my future...

The ones I scrap are genuinely worthless - typical examples would be the entry-level models of Gnome, often in mediocre condition. These are enlargers which you literally cannot give away. If you want a simple inexpensive enlarger, I'd be happy to let you know the next time I get one, but I would imagine if you put a card in your local newsagent's window, you'd get plenty of local offers. You could also ring the chairman of the local camera club (if you're not a member) - he/she will probably be in the same position as me, being asked to find homes for old enlargers and having trouble doing this.

Regards,

David

I gave the durst 670 to my sons girlfriend so she wouldn't have to go to the rental darkroom. That left me with the bessler 45vxl. Till today, when an 8x10 Salsman followed me home, I ask " Honey can I keep it? " She says it's big enough I have to count it as two. Then she says how about this enlarger......

Just two. I bought my Beseler 45MCRX new in '72, which is not in its 4th state (Tennessee) and is still in alignment. I also have a Leitz Valloy from the early '50's, but unfortunately I don't do much 35mm anymore. Dean

OK, I confess. It seems safe enough here. I have a Chromega D-4 for colour up to 4x5, a Johnson condenser for 4x5, an Ensign condenser for 6x6 to 6x9 and an Ensign condenser for 35 mm. Just out of curiosity, because I've never seen another Johnson 4x5, I was going to google 'johnson enlarger' but then thought better of it. At least I would have found more sites than if I had googled 'johnson condenser'.

Best,
Helen

Wise choice, I did it just for fun and it showed 99,000 hits.

Nothing like bringing back a 6 year old thread, it sure was a good one, let's keep this one alive and if any of the orig posters have a change in status, let us know....

So I will start, I have 2, Beseler 23CII XL and a Durst F60

Update.
Now I have 3 in my darkroom and a fourth on the way. Actually I have only room for 2 so the others will eventually have to go. At the time I have a 4x5 (Cr)Omega D3 (need a cone for the 135mm, wink wink), A Durst AC707 stands on the other enlargertable while a Meopta Axomat moves around as space is needed. Coming to me is a Durst Laborator 900 so its about time for some decisions to be made. Hmm what would you do?
Best regards

Um, lemme see... three Omega C-700's, a Beseler 23 CII (had three of them, gave two away), a Vivitar E-34, and an Omega D-6 Pro-Lab.

In my darkroom, three. Beseler 45 V XL, Zone VI 5X7 and Durst 1200. Sometimes that is too many . . . sometimes not.

Well, they just accumulate. Chromega B ... Omega B22 ... another B22 ... (and a D5XL with dichro head)

Six year update:

I still have all four of those enlargers, but none are set up. The Bs are not really worth that much, and I've attempted to sell the D5 a few times, but buyers only want the enlarger and not all the carriers, lensboards, etc, and I'm too lazy to split it up. In the meantime, I've acquired two Beseler 45, one with a condenser head, and the other with a dichro head. These are active in the current darkroom.

Interesting to look through this 8/6 year old thread and see that most of the names are no longer active on the board.

2.5 Beseler Mcrx, Saunders LPL d6700 dichroic and a headless Beseler Mcrx.

4 Enlargers set up for use here.

Minolta Mod III
Omega D5500
Omega D5500
Durst L1840
