I'm still recovering from G.A.S which (since I worked in camera stores for more than twenty years where I had unlimited access to the equipment myself and I could observe other fellow suffers at close quarters) was a serious problem at one time I've bought only one camera and two lenses in the last fifteen years or so, but like alcoholics I'm still in recovery we are never cured.

nikon f90x
mamiya rb67 pro-sd

All in pretty mint condition considering how well used they are and or have been.

Three more than I did last week... Got a Yashica Electro 35 GS, and GTN on the way, as well as a Kodak 120 box cam with case. I really need to stay away from the auction sites, and thrift stores.

I joined APUG understanding it was a forum for users of film/plate cameras and predominantly silver galatine materials

What pointless threads one like this shows me is that there are too many camera collectors and non-workers on this forum - If you think it is clever to have a room full of cameras you don't or can't use on a regular bases at least have the decency of keeping your greedy, nasty little habit private and rhythmically stroke your "precious" in the dark

Now use your cameras or get rid of them

I collect cameras - about 25 so far. I also use cameras - almost all of them at times. I never leave the house with out a camera but that use does not stop me appreciating the design and craftsmanship in a fine camera when I am not using it.

Folding:
Kodak Brownie No. 2 (red bellows)
Kodak Junior Six-16

MF:
Mamiya 645 Pro-TL
Mamiya RZ67

I use the 645 99% of the time for both travel & vacation shots and the RZ67 for my "Serious" work. The No.2 Brownie comes out with me sometimes depending on where I'm going. The Junior Six-16 is still NIB, with all paperwork, and the original receipt. That I will never touch.

5 total.

A no-name student camera with Pentax bayonet mount (35mm)

A Ricoh TLS-401 35mm (Pentax screw mount) with a neat switch that makes it WLF or regular pentaprism finder.

A Canon EOS 3 that's rarely used, as it's too easy to bang through film like a digital.

A Canon 5D (Digital FF 35mm).

My baby: Mamiya RZ67 ProII with almost every accessory ever made all purchased in truly mint condition and is now my main camera for everything I do.

1 Canon F1n
1 Canon EF
1 Canon T90
1 Minox 35 GT compact
They all in good working order, I use all my Cameras regularly, if I don't I don't keep them.
I don't think that owning seven cameras after more than sixty years of photography is excessive, although I have owned many cameras in the past I feel I have refined my outfit in terms of quality and usability to just my ideal.

I have a modest collection of 50-60 cameras, and I take pictures too. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

You need to try a Canon... Too much N*** stuff can be bad for your health. You know, having to twist the focus ring in the wrong direction, having to mount/unmount lenses in the wrong direction and so...

Here's my guide to Nikonitis therapy

If you like ____ Nikon camera, switch to ____ Canon camera to avoid Nikonitis.

Nikkormat FTN/FT2/FT3 ----> Canon FTb
Nikkormat EL -----> Canon EF
Nikon FM ----> Canon FTb
Nikon FG ----> Canon A-1 or T70
Nikon EM ----> Canon AV-1 or T50 or even T80
Nikon F -----> Canon F-1
Nikon F2 ----> Canon F-1 or New F-1 (your choice)
Nikon F3 ----> Canon New F-1
Nikon FE2 ----> Canon New F-1
Nikon FM2 ----> Canon New F-1
Nikon F4 ----> Canon T90
Nikon FA ---> Canon T90 or the T70, which is as ugly as the FA but not as advanced.
Nikon FM10 ---> Canon T60 (heh)

Note: If in doubt, choose Canon New F-1.

Interesting that you did not include the F100. We all know that Canon has nothing equal to nor better than the Nikon F100.
