It was 102 in Tiburon, which is on the water across from San Fran.I’m close to the water so I don’t think it broke 90 degree. Now our house uninsulated and we don’t have air conditioning so the house is almost as bad as the car. But yes I may have to rethink leaving cameras in my car.

I'm sure to people in the U.S.A. this isn't so unusual, but here it is.
On the 29th of July this year the temperature in the U.K was the highest ever recorded in history since records were first kept in the 1500s, they reached just over 100 degrees F, which for Britain is very hot.

Depends where you are -- the only American city of any size that's as far north as London is Anchorage, and 100F would be extremely unusual there, too. Even Seattle, a full 4 degrees (= ~350 km) further south, has only gotten that hot half a dozen times since it was colonized in the 1850s.
The UK is a bit of an anomaly though. It's temps are normally moderated by the gulf stream that flows by it.
The thing that makes 100 F so uncomfortable in Britain is we aren't used to it and most of the country's infrastructure, public buildings, shops, offices, homes, and cinemas etc don't have air conditioning.
You lot don't even have screens for your windows! So if you have an open window at night to try to cool off, all the bugs come in.
I grew up in the UK, and when I first came to the US and saw screens, it seemed such an obvious thing to have!
They never mention this in the news. People don't keep the windows open or fans in the windows? Or maybe British bugs aren't so bad.
Growing up we'd have swarms of mosquitoes in the house at night. As well as any other bug that was attracted to light. Lived in Surrey.
If Its 120 film I'm going to load expose and process. One too many issues with faulty backing paper. Is nothing sacred? No idea what's in my 35mm cameras. Always a surprise when it's time to develope!

At the moment we have had heavy rain for several days, and the forecast says we are going to have it for more than another week so having four of my cameras loaded isn't going to do me much good.
Are any of them a Nikonos?
That is my rainy day camera, a Nikonos V.
