I’m close to the water so I don’t think it broke 90 degree. Now our house uninsulated and we don’t have air conditioning so the house is almost as bad as the car. But yes I may have to rethink leaving cameras in my car.

Depends where you are -- the only American city of any size that's as far north as London is Anchorage, and 100F would be extremely unusual there, too. Even Seattle, a full 4 degrees (= ~350 km) further south, has only gotten that hot half a dozen times since it was colonized in the 1850s.

We get that a few time a summer. It's hot but not unheard of. I'm near the Great Lakes.

Very true, else it would have a climate more like Anchorage than San Francisco.

The thing that makes 100 F so uncomfortable in Britain is we aren't used to it and most of the country's infrastructure, public buildings, shops, offices, homes,and cinemas etc don't have air conditioning.

You lot don't even have screens for your windows! So if you have an open window at night to try to cool off, all the bugs come in.

I grew up in the UK, and when I first came to the US and saw screens, it seemed such an obvious thing to have!

If Its 120 film I'm going to load expose and process. One too many issues with faulty backing paper. Is nothing sacred? No idea what's in my 35mm cameras. Always a surprise when it's time to develope!

I take photos of my camera and post on instagram with camera, film, what speed I'm shooting at and date loaded. That way in the winter when I develop everything I know what I shot. I also label the cans.

Surrey is in the effete South, in the industrial North where I live the air is so polluted that most the bugs don't survive, and in the dawn chorus the birds don't sing, they caugh .
