The story can finally be told.

Go here: http://makingkodakfilm.com/

for the finest and most modern book on Kodak's manufacturing procedures.

A contribution will be made to APUG by the author if any APUG member or Subscriber mentions APUG in their order.

Looks like a really nice book to have from what the website describes. Plus since it's self published, a limited printing is expected. Hmmm, better order it now if I want one. So PE were you involved in making the book?

A bit.

Bob is one of our GEH lunch regulars and the book has been a topic at our lunch meetings.

Another order placed...

I am so thrilled about this! I have always been so curious!!

I bought one too!

Bob also contacted me after we released the subtitled (there was a url link here which no longer exists), depicting the historic production process. I gave him access to a copy of the digital video file.

Will be interesting to see the differences with current production as described in this book...

One more. And, I have to ask, what is a GEH lunch?Something like a BLT?

George Eastman House!

A group of us have lunch there every so often and chat. Sometimes guests from the trade join us and we have had several APUG members come as well.

We are also often joined by staff members of GEH.

I am going there for lunch today AAMOF and again on the 26th of August.

I ordered one.

I ordered the book. Haven't heard anything back from the author; maybe he is buried in orders.

I emailed requesting that he send me a PayPal bill so that I could buy the book [PayPal snafu]. He responded promptly yesterday.

Kodak film making book available

http://makingkodakfilm.com/

I am merely passing this on from another forum that a retired Kodak film man by the name of Bob Shanebrook has created this book on everything about Kodak film making continuing on from early on to today.
