how do you meter a sunset with an incident meter?

As you don't mention what film you are using, advice is difficult. Is it black & white panchromatic? Ortho black & white? Colour slide? Colour negative? Or colour polaroid? Or what?

People won't like this but holding the dome above my head so it points straight up after I have composed, has served me well. I will then bracket on either side of that. I hope it well.
