Imagine: your self. Who, what, where, the broad diffusion of experiences, people, and places (and potentially, photographs) that are you. Now take away you. Erase the center of that picture. What's left? Spin your imaginary clock forward five years. Now what's left? At ten years? At forty? What did you see that others would not have seen without you? What notions would have dissipated? What loves and pains would vanish without you, if only you... if only... it's there in the "if only" that the "you" in your art will be found.
