I generally carry my Leica like any of my other cameras--in my hand when I'm shooting, in a bag when I'm not. I do have a wrist strap for the Leica as I use it for street shooting and want to have it at the ready all the time. The Leica, depending on the lens, can fit in a large pocket, quite convenient. A neck strap just gets in the way.

BTW, I wouldn't abuse any camera regardless of condition, nor baby it unless it was some sort of collector item I'm going to sell. And I don't have any of those. Good cameras are built to be used, and withstand hard usage.

I bought a pre-bashed M4 so I don't need to worry about it too much and only have one lens for it. When shooting, on a strap over my shoulder, otherwise in a backpack or courier type bag. Strap is a leather one, but I need to keep an eye out on the strap lugs, they're wearing out.

I’ve been outfitting my heavier rotation cameras with Peak Design attachment points and then attaching either a PD shoulder sling or wrist strap. Since my M2 / Summicron 50mm DR are are heavier combo, I tend to go with the shoulder sling.

Hi!
When I carry a single camera + lens + lightmeter I use Peak Desing 5l Sling.
Leicas (and any other manual focus SLR) cameras fit very well !!
I use neck straps except for smaller cameras like Oly 35 RC, XA or Leica IIIf.

Cheers!
Antonio
