How Do I Use A Kindermann Film Drying Cabinet?

How would that avoid having a strange drying mark where the tube contacts the film??

The tube would only be in contact with the base-side of the film.
The base would be wiped dry.
One could use velvet or alike, or undecut the tube in a way that it only touches the perforations.

You might be able to do something clever with a carabiner.

Interesting Ron. I could prob attach two a these and get there....

If it were mine, I would cut the cabinet in half and splice an extension in, so as to increase the height to it would accept the film hanging straight down.

A completed auction with pictures that might give you an idea.

Look at these things that appear to be top of coat-hangars... Seems a "question-mark" shaped steel hook would be able to weigh down a festoon of film without contacting more than just the edge. Maybe this is another option.

Wouldn't work as one would need "German metalcraft skills".

Oh, maybe the loop is supposed to be at the top, so you would need two hooks at the bottom for every one hook needed at the top... explains the multitude of bottom hooks... And water marks from dripping go downhill, to the two ends where there's no images to ruin.

Old thread, but I just bought one of these cabinets with a bunch of other equipment. I had a bunch of these funny looking rollers that seemed out of place, but now I know what they are for. Thanks all for the good info. I have another issue though, the mesh filter for the cabinet is crumbling and will need replacement. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. -Doug

What about using a cooker hood mesh filter cut to size?

Mike
MIke, sometimes the most simplest answer is the correct one. -Occum's Razor I believe that this did not come to me before. And I actually think I have some sitting around not doing anything. -Doug

could be fine for 120 film?
