My lens is a Graphic Kowa 360mm and I want to be able to mount 3 and 10 stop ND filters on it while shooting 8x10. The issue is that the lens hood doesn't have a filter thread, so I am thinking of getting the filters in 95mm, getting a step-down ring to 85mm and then somehow superglue or braze the two of them together......what do you guys think??
The lens hood is ~85mm across

It might be best to buy a new lens hood with a filter thread built in. The collapsible rubber ones are pretty cheap. Or unscrew the lens hood and place the filters between the hood and lens.

That would do it, I just need to find out what size is that inside thread, its roughly 55mm, I will take the lens to the camera shop and see what size fits it

it doesn't get screwed on it MOUNTS on the lensboard
some use velcro soyou can remove it and use it with other lenses
But the rear lens has a thread on it so if I can find a ND filter with the same thread then that should be good to go right

Are you sure the lens hood doesn't unscrew (or do you have a reason for wanting to keep the lens hood on)? I have this lens (#600014!) and it has a regular 58mm filter thread. Then you can use a step up ring 58mm to whatever you want, and smaller filters will be much cheaper than 95's.

Yes the lens hood unscrews. That's fantastic that you know the thread is 58mm I will order a step up ring to 60mm then I can use my other filters
Thanks a lot for the reply
