  • Reason: Better manage this differently
Vehicular problems continue to persist, but that's not stopping me! I bought 43 rolls of Kodachrome II today, all expired 09/77. The age of the film is really pushing my personal limits on how far back I'm willing to go with film, but I'm hoping I can figure out a way to get decent results, being that I'll have 43 rolls to burn though. I'll work on K12 development with the Rockland Polytoner first. The couplers for the Rockland Polytoner are apparently the same as those used for the original Kodachrome, and I'm hoping Kodachrome II will be close enough for that to give good results. If it doesn't, then hey, I've got 43 rolls of black and white film (with remjet) for a decent price now!

On a related note, does anybody know what the patents for K12 are? I've been struggling more than I care to admit to find them, and if I can find them then I can finally figure out what the couplers for it are.

Kodak's release of the full K14 process as a teaching patent was a cry for love, they wanted others to copy their process to make the whole thing viable. None of this was deemed necessary for K12, therefore we don't have such a resource. There's an extensive patent list for Kodachrome here, and none of the patents look anything like a K12 teaching patent. This here is not even close to that.
