A friend just told me he had heard about someone who made his own Packard-style shutter, but didn't remember where.

I just removed an electrically powered similar one from a graphic arts camera.

Has anyone ever run into such info on th eweb.

I know one can still buy new and used Packards, but that is not what my friend asked about.

I've seen these electrically-operated Bencher shutters, which are giant packard shutters that operate off of 120VAC. Apparently used on a Bencher Copy Camera/Stand, I always thought that they would work great inside the home with a digital enlarging timer or the like. Otherwise, unfortunately i've never seen any info although maybe an old patent might give you some ideas.
