I've always wanted one of those little voigtlander meters. I could use it on so many on my other cameras. They are quite pricey though. Still my spot meter would be hard to leave behind.

I sometimes like subminiature cameras like that 6x9 for things like casual airline destinations. It doesn't annoy my wife on vacation like setting up a view camera.

6x8 is a really "comfortable" aspect ratio for many.

And the nine negatives you get on a roll will fit in a single Printfile negative holder .

My GW690II is finally here. It is big, but surprisingly easy to handle. I like the two shutter buttons. It is kinda loud, but this is hardly a stealth camera, so who cares. This is a camera that says Look at me dammit!

In order to use some other filters I have with it, I got a 67-77mm step-up ring, but it does not fit. I thought this took a 67mm filter. Am I wrong? Do I need a different size?

Ah well, I've figured out what the problem is. There's a raised lip around the lens that's slightly above the filter thread, and it keeps the step-up ring from seating in the thread. I guess this means I'll have to spring for a couple of actual 67mm filters.

67 mm filters will fit inside the slide out shade, a step up ring will not.

It can but then you'd be blocked from using the slide-out hood.

True. Some folk "remove" the hood and eschew it completely, adding a screw in hood to the step up ring. I bought some 67mm filters and carried on with the slide-out hood. The weight saves me money on gymnasium subscriptions...

I have orange, 0.9ND and CPL already in 77mm.
Was thinking I could focus, set aperture and shutter first, then recede the hood so that I can screw the step-up ring and the filters afterwards.

I'll see once I receive my GSW690III next week then to see if it will work or if I'll have to buy 67mm filters

I do not agree with this, with the Mark IIIs the film loading is easier than any other MF camera I have used, once the spare spool has been moved to the right, drop the film in, pull the leader across the film gate and insert into the spare spool, wind on until the arrow is opposite a small mark, close the back, and wind on until unable to wind anymore, then you are at frame 1. Takes 'a lot' more time to type than to do!
