I thought I knew what to expect when I ordered it, but I was still surprised at the enormity of it. (I shoot a Rollei SL66 and a Fuji GF670 as well, both of which look small in comparison.)

In spite of its apparent glandular problem, it seems to handle nicely.

Just arrived from a seller in Japan, so no results yet. Looking forward to dunking a roll or two soon.

Don't give yourself a hernia. If it's too heavy send it to me. I will pay the postage of course.

They're not heavy. I usually carry two. Awesome cameras. Enjoy the big neg or chrome.

Awesome cameras, and perfectly proportioned. But my GW690 was so big, it made me feel like a child holding a "big people's" camera.

Enjoy!

Oh Yeah! I've been scanning images from mine into a Leafscan 45. Beautiful stuff.

"Texas" Leica. Doesn't like cold weather. Please wrap securely and send it to this good Texas home.

I got a Fuji GSW690 III from Ebay from a seller in Japan too a few months back. It's big, but not as heavy as SLRs. The lens is razor sharp. It does sound like a toy camera when you fire the shutter tough :D

When we got one for the university I sent it back for repairs, thinking the shutter was broken. The "T" setting needs to have the shutter speed changed or the film advanced in order for the shutter to close! Bad me for not reading the instructions! Wonderful camera, though.

I stop the long exposures with the lens cap, and then advance the film to close the shutter. Not using the lens cap can cause a slight movement of the film before the shutter actually closes...and changing the shutter speed is difficult without jarring the camera.

Have someone take a photo of you taking a photo with the camera in the vertical mode -- it will give new meaning to the term "camera head"!

I'm wary when someone mentions scanning... don't want to fall victim to a scan artist.

I remember the first time I held my GW690III. My god what a monster. Awesome negs though. Have fun with it.

Excellent camera... I have one along with a GW670II... love the results I get from both of these cameras.

Wow! First 690 negatives just out of the soup. (T-Max 400; D76)

Here's a shot from my office, plus a 100% crop to show detail.

Incredible for a $600 camera. A very nice addition to the toolbox.

The whole 690 line are great, but they burn through your film stash like no tomorrow!

A couple of years before things got out of hand over there, I toured Jordan and Egypt with a GSW690III and a GW670III carefully sharing a camera bag.
Great combination.
